As an AV Install Technician at Pearl Technology, Nathan (Nate) Wilson works at job sites and helps to install televisions, speakers, microphones, and video walls for clients. In his role, Nate matches equipment and services to customer needs.
How He Serves
Working from the Peoria Heights headquarters, Nate says a typical day involves going to various job sites and checking to see what custom equipment is needed for their business, then providing them with the best audiovisual experience possible through equipment, installation, and service.
Nate first joined Pearl Technology in June 2026, and he appreciates the way Pearl Technology cares for its people. “They allow personal time when needed. It’s a professional group that allows me to provide attention to detail in my job and perform the quality work I long to do. I look forward to helping the company grow with more clients and more technology solutions in the future.”
What His Experience Means
Prior to joining Pearl Tech’s team, Nate worked in the industry for 10 years. He spent time working with live audio and helping with lighting in churches.
“I wanted to try something a little different from my current life, something that had a more permanent setting.”
A salesman for three years at a local cycling and fitness store, Nate also worked at a church as the assistant tech director. His former work served as basic prep for his current position at Pearl Technology.
“I have acquired my Comp TIA A+ certification and AWS Cloud Basics, and I am currently working for my AVIXA CTS certification. My training and experience help me with related background for troubleshooting.”
Nate added, “I think my primary achievement is that I’m very willing to help the team. I have many years of experience in different areas of this industry that can help me learn and acquire skills easily.”
What Sustains Him
Nate was born and raised in Illinois. He says he trusts the Lord to get him through each day. He currently lives with his family in Central Illinois; he has a younger sister and brother with two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels for dogs at home.
If he’s not visiting his girlfriend in Nashville, Tennessee, during his free time, Nate enjoys working on his vehicles and tinkering with technology (live audio, PC, lighting).
