Peoria InfraGard on the steps of the FBI Building in Springfield

Pearl Technology Participates in FBI Day in Springfield

On June 12, members of the InfraGard Peoria Members Alliance were hosted by FBI Springfield for a day of intelligence briefings and training.

Critical infrastructure—which includes things like healthcare, transportation, banks, utilities, IT, food and agriculture, water supply, and emergency services—is 85% owned by private industry, not the government. Thus, it is crucial that the FBI shares intelligence and works side by side with the experts in private industry. That’s the goal of FBI Day.

What is InfraGard?

InfraGard is a partnership between the FBI and the private sector with the mission of protecting the critical infrastructure of the United States and its citizens.

Peoria InfraGard has over 80 FBI-vetted members who are top experts in critical infrastructure in Central Illinois. The members include people from manufacturing, health care, banking, emergency management, the City of Peoria and surrounding cities and municipalities, education, law enforcement, and military.

How is Pearl Technology Involved?

Pearl Technology’s Managing Partner, Dave Johnson, is the President of Peoria InfraGard.  Pearl Technology’s President, Anthony Mini, co-founded Peoria InfraGard along with Dave.  In addition, Pearl Technology is a Platinum Sponsor of the Peoria InfraGard.
